Our Veterinarians

Dr. Natasha Clarke is from Canada and moved to California in 2005. She attended the Nova Scotia Agricultural College where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in pre-veterinary medicine. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward, Canada.

Dr. Clarke completed an internship at the Animal Specialty Group in Los Angeles, during which time she was given the opportunity to practice under the guidance of surgeons, internists, neurologists, oncologists and radiologists. This internship contributed to Dr. Clarke’s strong foundation in veterinary medicine.

She then moved to beautiful San Diego 5 years ago where she accepted a position at a busy 24-hour animal hospital in El Cajon. Her special interests are in radiology, ultrasound and surgery.

She is genuinely excited to bring her skills to the clients of Valley Center.  She is passionate about animals, she promotes a friendly atmosphere for clients and guarantees to do her best for each and every patient in her care. She is available full time for appointments, 5 days a week.

Aside from her time at Valley Center Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Clarke enjoys spending time outdoors. She is active with winter sports and enjoys spending quality time with her family. She plays guitar, enjoys reading and hiking. She currently resides in Escondido with “Ben” her border collie mix rescued from the street, "Buddy" her goofy blind golden and “Cabbit” the kitty who was rescued from the San Diego fires in 2007.

Our Technicians

Stephanie is our Registered Veterinary Technician. She graduated from the Professional Veterinary Assistant School in July of 2007. In August of 2007, she became a registered veterinary technician in the state of California. In January of 2008, she also became nationally licensed. Stephanie's passion for animals has led her to adopt 3 special needs animals: Spike - a 3-legged pit bull, Jamie - a Sheltie mix who was born with 2 aortic arches, and Kiwi - a feather-plucking Eclectus parrot. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and working out.

Tara was born and raised in Southern California.  A Valley Center resident for 7 years, she has been with our clinic since 2006. With a total of 11 years of technician experience, she is always looking to expand her knowledge of veterinary medicine.

When she is not at the clinic, she can usually be found working on projects around the house, taking care of all her animals, or attending a rabbit show with her son. The current list of residents at her humble abode include her son (a member of Valley Center 4H), 2 dogs, 3 cats, 3 bearded dragons, 1 short tailed oppossum, a flock of Jersey giant chickens, Serama chickens and Flemish giant rabbits.  Eggs are always available from her cage-free chickens at the clinic!
